Height matters in soccer, as it does in many sports, but overall it is not the most important factor in determining a player's success. In the MLS, tall players are able to use their height to their advantage, especially in terms of aerial duels and defending set pieces. However, shorter players have been successful as well, using their quickness and agility to dribble past opponents, or their tactical intelligence to find space and make smart passes. Ultimately, the most successful players in MLS have been those who have been able to combine physical attributes with technical and tactical ability.
